There's Still Time to Get Your Girl Scout Cookies!

HALFMOON, NY (03/15/2013)(readMedia)-- In case you missed your Girl Scout's knock on the door, you can still purchase Girl Scout cookies! Troops and girls from the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York (GSNENY) are setting up Cookie Booths across the council so customers can purchase cookies.

Cookie Booth sales also provide another opportunity for customers to support GSNENY's Gift of Caring Program – Operation: Send a Smile! Customers can support the Girl Scout Movement by purchasing a box (or more) of cookies to be sent to military personnel. GSNENY will handle the distribution of the donated cookies at the end of the Cookie Program.

Booth sales begin March 16th and continue through the end of the sale on April 7th.

How Can Customers Find Cookies? Simply go to www.gsneny.org and click on the Cookie Locator icon on our home page. By entering a zip code, you will get the locations and times of all the Cookie Booths in your area. There is also a Cookie Locator APP which can be downloaded by dialing **gscookies or **472665437 from a mobile phone. In addition, people can also request reminder emails about future booth sales and fun cookie information.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-lead business in the country and generates immeasurable benefits to girls in our communities. By participating in this program, girl learn five financial and entrepreneurship skills which include goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. All cookie proceeds stay in our communities. Girls set cookie goals to support their chosen activities for the year – from supporting community service and leadership projects, to attending summer camp, to traveling to destinations near and far.
