Travel around the world and explore with the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York's Albany troops!

HALFMOON, NY (04/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Girls and adults interested in learning more about the Girl Scout experience are invited to the City of Albany's Annual International Fair on April 20, 6:30pm – 8:00pm, at Blessed Sacrament Gymnasium located at 605 Central Avenue, Albany, NY.

The City of Albany troops will have displays and food samples so all can learn more about Argentina, Cuba, England, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russia and Spain.

Come and learn more about the world around us and how to get involved in Girl Scouts. Girl Scout leaders will be on hand to answer questions about Girl Scouts, a program that builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, and who make the world a better place. Passports provided for the world tour.

Admission is one canned good and a package of new, unsharpened pencils. Canned goods will be donated to the Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry and pencils to the Pencil Project. The Pencil Project aims to "make a mighty difference...one pencil at a time." The new, unsharpened pencils will be shipped to a school in Rajahmundry, India.
