Clearwater Christian College Senior Tyler Spraul Named NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week

CLEARWATER, FL (10/21/2010)(readMedia)-- Clearwater Christian College senior midfielder Tyler Spraul of Annandale, VA was named Student Athlete of the Week by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) in men's soccer for the week of October 4-10, 2010. Tyler is a 2007 graduate of First Baptist Christian School in Waupaca, WI and the son of Mike and Darla Spraul of Thermopolis, WY.

In their official announcement, NCCAA cites the following: "Tyler Spraul scored a hat trick as the Cougars defeated Ohio Christian University 4-0 in a rematch of the 2009 national NCCAA semifinal match. Tyler also scored a goal as Clearwater defeated Johnson Bible College 7-0. With the win, Clearwater improved to 10-2 on the season and is currently ranked #1 in the most recent NCCAA DII coach's poll."
