Giberson credits Jefferson as encouraging his involvement in state and national organizations as a student. "While being a student in the nurse anesthesia program at Jefferson, there was a strong encouragement to attend state and national meetings," he says. "This invaluable exposure led me to the desire to participate in the state and national organizations. The leadership training in Thomas Jefferson's Nurse Anesthesia Program provided an ease in transition to the role of President in the state organization.
