Washington Education Association recommends school board candidates

DES MOINES, IA (08/24/2017) (readMedia)-- The Washington Education Association (WEA) recommends Catherine Glinsmann, Jason Hamilton and Kelly Wieland for the Washington School Board election on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

"Washington Education Association leaders met with candidates including in public forums and meet and greet opportunities where they were able to ask questions related to positive learning environments, community support and placing students first," said Andy Isaacson, UniServ Director for the Iowa State Education Association (ISEA). "The consensus is that Catherine Glinsmann, Jason Hamilton and Kelly Wieland will serve students, teachers and citizens well and all of them have the beliefs and philosophy to take Washington Schools to the next level," added Isaacson.

The WEA is the exclusive bargaining representative for education professionals in the Washington Community School District. The WEA is affiliated with the Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) and the National Education Association (NEA).
