Whole Foods Supports American Lung Association Efforts

LOUISVILLE (02/28/2017) (readMedia)-- Programs and services from the local office of the American Lung Association in Kentucky will benefit from a $ 5,733.45 donation from Whole Foods Market as the result of a 5% special shopping day held at three area stores on February 22.

Overall, nine Ohio stores and two Kentucky locations participated in the event for a net to the American Lung Association of $31,364.45.

The locally participating stores were:

  • Whole Foods Market Louisville: 4944 Shelbyville Road. Louisville, Kentucky 40207
  • Whole Foods Market Lexington: 161 Lexington Green Circle, Suite A2, Lexington, Kentucky 40503

The American Lung Association in Kentucky has a local office at 4100 Churchman Ave, Louisville. Their mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.

"As a result of this promotion, the American Lung Association has started an exciting new partnership with Whole Foods Market," said Barry Gottschalk, CEO of the American Lung Association locally. "We are looking at additional ways that we can work together to benefit our communities in the coming months."
