SPRINGFIELD, IL (01/11/2018) (readMedia)-- Springfield, Ill. – Pvt. Kain Durbin, of Witt, Illinois, was sworn into the Illinois Army National Guard Jan. 10, at the St. Louis Military Entrance Processing Station.
Durbin enlisted as a 35F, Intelligence Analyst, and is assigned Company M, Recruit Sustainment Program in Shiloh, Illinois.
Upon completion of his initial training, Durbin will be assigned to Company D, 766th Brigade Engineer Battalion, Military Intelligence.
Durbin is a senior at Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, Illinois.
After successfully completing his training, Durbin will be eligible for the Illinois National Guard Grant, which pays 100 percent of college tuition while he works as a full-time student and a part-time Soldier. He will also be eligible for the Select Reserve G.I. Bill and federal tuition assistance.
Sgt. 1st Class Thomas Reif of Company M, Recruiting and Retention Battalion congratulate Durbin and welcome him into the Illinois Army National Guard.
