ALBANY, NY (07/06/2011)(readMedia)-- Succeeding as a professional wedding photographer today requires effective marketing, creative wedding album design skills, and efficient work flow. Strategies for achieving those three priorities will be shared by award-winning photographer Stephen Sedman at a two-hour workshop sponsored by the Professional Photographers' Society of New York State (PPSNYS). This event, which is part of an ongoing lecture series held at locations across the state, is free to PPSNYS members. The workshop fee for non-members is $35, which is refundable upon joining the organization (within 30 days).

This educational event will take place on Monday, July 11th, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express (8 Empire Drive) in Rensselaer, New York. Sedman, the featured speaker, was recently recognized as "Photographer of the Year" at the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) 2010 print competition. A winner of Kodak gallery awards, Fuji Masterpiece awards, and Courts of Honor, Sedman is a recognized expert on digital workflow, customer ordering systems, and creative wedding photography techniques.

Stephen is the owner of Sedman Photography, in Braintree, Massachusetts, and is also the technology manager at LustreColor, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Swain School of Design, and has a background in the latest computer and Internet technologies that afford photographers a competitive edge in today's marketplace.
