YPSILANTI, MICH. (05/14/2013)(readMedia)-- Yankee Air Museum and the Michigan Aerospace Foundation will hold a briefing for museum supporters, community leaders and news media on Thursday May 16, beginning at 5 p.m. (program at 6 p.m.)
The purpose of this session is to share the details of the Michigan Aerospace Foundation's plans for acquiring and redeveloping a portion of the former Willow Run Bomber Plant (more recently a GM Powertrain facility) into a new home for the Yankee Air Museum.
This session also serves as the "kickoff" for an intensive fund-raising effort needed to acquire and preserve a portion of the former bomber plant for this purpose.
