readMedia Signs Physicians for Peace for “Hyperlocal” Media Reach
ALBANY, NY (06/29/2007)(readMedia)-- readMedia, a press-release distribution technology specializing in "hyper-local" distribution, announced today that Physicians for Peace has signed on for readMedia's Mass Localization Engine. Physicians for Peace is a Norfolk, VA based non-profit organization that organizes and supports health care missions to impoverished countries. Physicians for Peace is among the first Mass Localization Engine (MLE) customers from outside of higher education.
"We're very excited to move forward with this partnership," said Cliff Bryant, Director of Communications and Marketing at Physicians for Peace. "We feel the application is so easy to use and gives us so much power in telling people about our mission."
"Physicans for Peace's volunteers do important work that requires great sacrifice--that's work that deserves recognition. We're proud to help Physicians for Peace tell these heroes' stories to their hometown media" said Colin Mathews, President and CEO.
The Mass Localization Engine (MLE) is a revolutionary new technology that allows users to generate hyperlocal, high-relevance press release content from large sets of data. Physicians For Peace will use the MLE to match volunteers from all over the United States to local media outlets and send customized press releases about each volunteer to his or her hometown in an on-line process that takes only minutes. In addition to the Mass Localization Engine, readMedia's application provides more conventional press release distribution capabilities to Physicians for Peace.
