NEW YORK, NY (02/24/2020) (readMedia)-- On Monday, Assemblymember Catalina Cruz, Common Cause/NY and Disability Rights New York will hold a press conference ahead of the New York State Board of Elections accessibility demonstration of the ExpressVote XL. ExpressVote XL is a touch screen voting machine that poses challenges for differently abled voters, and has been widely criticized by election security experts. Afterwards, Common Cause/NY will drop off thousands of petitions from New Yorkers across the state, urging the NYSBOE to reject the machine.
