Deployment Ceremony

Montgomery, Ala. – The Alabama Air National Guard's 187th Fighter Wing will conduct a deployment ceremony Sat., Apr.5, 2014, at 8:00 a.m. This ceremony will honor the service of the unit's men and women mobilizing to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The wing's F-16C+ Fighting Falcon aircraft - the "Red Tails" - will provide armed overwatch and close air support for ground units in their area of responsibility.

COVERAGE OPPORTUNITIES:

Members of the press will have an opportunity to interview Airmen and their families, as well as the leaders of the 187th Fighter Wing. Still and video imagery opportunities include the ceremony, troops in formation, and Airmen with their families.
