ALBANY, NY (07/30/2007)(readMedia)-- The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association has named Courtney Remington of Audio-Video Corporation President for 2007-08, beginning a year-long tenure as head of the local chapter of the largest and most prestigious organization for marketing professionals.
Remington has been a member of the AMA since January 2005 and has served on several committees before joining the board of directors last year. In stepping up to the presidency, Remington brings an ambitious set of goals for the coming year, focusing on adding value to the chapter by hosting unique speakers and innovative events and by increasing its number of members in the technology and energy segments.

Remington is the Director of Marketing at Audio-Video Corporation. She is responsible for all aspects of marketing for the company including all written communication, advertising, direct mail and coordination of trade shows. She has a BS in Corporate Communications from Ithaca College and an MBA in the Management of Information Systems from the University at Albany. She previously served on the board of the local chapter of the Alliance of Technology and Women as VP of Marketing and has worked on event planning committees for the Senior Services of Albany, the MS Society and the Women’s Business Council.
