Barber Motorsports Park to Host National Guard Job Fair

MONTGOMERY, AL (06/16/2011)(readMedia)-- A National Guard Job Fair will be held at Barber Motorsports Park as part of its Barber Superbike Classic a "Salute to the men and women of the Alabama National Guard" in Birmingham, Ala., June 17, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. located at 6040 Motorsports Parkway.

All members of the Alabama National Guard are invited to participate in the event. The job fair will host several Alabama?based companies interviewing for their prospective job openings. There will also be an interview workshop and staff on?hand to assist Guardsmen with resumes and interview tips.

"Alabama National Guard Soldiers are organized, skilled and responsible, making them ideal employees," said Maj. Gen. Perry Smith, Adjutant General of the Alabama National Guard. "The leadership skills and technical training the military provides Soldiers make hiring Guardsmen a logical choice for employers.
