Break the Silence Event Raises Awareness for Domestic Violence

DES MOINES, IA (02/18/2010)(readMedia)-- Grand View University's Criminal Justice Club is hosting an event to raise awareness for domestic violence. The event is Tuesday, February 23 at the Viking Theater. Attached is a flyer with more event details. The media is encouraged to attend.

11-11:25 Welcomes, Interfaith/Chapel prayer and service

11:25-11:40. Drama by the Criminal Justice Club and Grandview College students

11:40-11:55 The Des Moines Police Presentation

11:55-12:15 Children & Families of Iowa (CFI): Warning Signs/Educations

12:15-12:20 Criminal Justice Club Wrap up Points

12:25-12:55 p.m. Lunch and Learn presentation by Diversity Alliance

12:55-1:00 p.m. Closing Statement
