ALBANY, NY (04/12/2007)(readMedia)-- The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association has issued its call for entries for the Thirteenth Annual Mark of Excellence Awards.
Awarded annually, this year's competition, which will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Albany Marriott on Wolf Road, will recognize highly effective marketing campaigns and initiatives from all-sized companies, agencies, organizations and educational institutions within the Capital Region.
"The Mark of Excellence pays homage to the best business leaders within the Capital Region who push the limits of creative innovation," said Margherita Petti Krug, co-chair of the 2007 Committee. "This program continues to cultivate new marketing talent and reinforces the local chapter of the American Marketing Association's commitment to showcasing the best marketing campaign results within the Capital Region."
In addition to recognizing the outstanding marketing campaigns of the year, Mark of Excellence recognizes the "Marketer of Excellence," one individual whose marketing efforts have had a tremendous effect on the Capital Region. Previous year's recipients include: Dr. Alan Chartock, president and CEO of WAMC Northeast Public Radio, former Times Union Marketing Director Robert Provost, Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno, Lyn Taylor, president of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce and Kelly Lovell, president /CEO of the Center for Economic Growth.
"Each year we honor one individual who has raised the bar of excellence and has exhibited extraordinary innovation in marketing campaigns. We hope to attract even more entries this year, to reflect the numerous marketing leaders we have within the local community," concluded Nichole Eisenzopf, co-chair of the 2007 Committee.
The Call for Entries deadline is Thursday, May 1, 2007 at 4 p.m. Forms can be found at www.nymarketing.org/moe. All entries must be sent in care of NYCRAMA, MOE Entry Committee, PO Box 13145, Albany, NY, 12212-3145. Judging is completed by marketing executives from around the nation. Entries are judged based on the campaign's results.
