CLEARWATER, FL (11/01/2010)(readMedia)-- The Clearwater Christian College men's soccer team won the NCCAA Division II South Region tournament with a 2-0 win over Toccoa Falls College on Saturday, October 30 in Toccoa Falls, GA. Winning goals came from senior Tyler Spraul and sophomore Brian Waddle. With the win, the Cougars improve their record to 12-4 on the season.
First-team All-Region honors were given to Jeff Crews, Anthony DeRosse, Tyler Spraul, and Matt Wells. Spraul was also named South Region Player of the Year. In addition, Coach James Whitaker was named South Region Coach of the Year. With this win, the Cougars will participate in the NCCAA Division II National Tournament held in Kissimmee, FL November 10-13.
