Clearwater Christian College to Offer Criminal Justice and Military Science Minors

CLEARWATER, FL (02/28/2011)(readMedia)-- Clearwater Christian College announces the addition of the Military Science and Criminal Justice minors to the academic curriculum effective with the 2011-12 school year. For over ten years, students from Clearwater Christian have been able to participate in Air Force, Army, and Navy ROTC through a cross town agreement with the University of South Florida and each military branch. This new minor officially recognizes the student's specific academic pursuits in this area and enables them to easily show this academic specialty. The Criminal Justice minor is completely unique to Clearwater Christian and will allow students to investigate the various aspects of crime, law enforcement, and prevention. It is the college's intention to expand this offering as an academic major in the near future. The program will be headed up by Clearwater Christian College alumnus Jared Linebach who is completing his doctorate in Forensics Psychology with Alliant International University in California.

Located on a 138-acre property on Tampa Bay, Clearwater Christian College is home to over 600 undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a distinct Christian education in a traditional liberal arts environment. Clearwater Christian College is recognized by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
