Company B, 1/169th Aviation Homecoming Ceremony

MONTGOMERY, AL (08/31/2010)(readMedia)-- Approximately 70 members of the Alabama Army National Guard's Company B, 1st Battalion 169th Aviation unit from Birmingham will return from Afghanistan September 3.

A short ceremony honoring the unit will be held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 3, 2009, at the Army Aviation Support Facility #2, 5701 East Lake Blvd, in Birmingham.

Company B is equipped with CH-47 Chinook helicopters which can move combat troops, cargo, weapons and other supplies and logistical items.

Members of the general public are invited to attend and welcome home the members of Company B.
