Competing Against Big Business Breakfast Roundtable

ALBANY, NY (11/05/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association (NYCRAMA) announces the November breakfast roundtable, "How to Market When They're Big and You're Not." Two of the Capital Region's most successful small business owners will be sharing their stories and strategies against large corporations and businesses at the upcoming breakfast roundtable.

WHO: Fraida Varah is the owner and principal broker of Varah Real Estate Group (www.fraida.com). Since its inception in 2000, she has closed more than 1,900 residential real estate transactions and eclipsed all other Albany County realtors over the past 12 years. Realtor Magazine listed her among the top 300 U.S. realtors in both 2000 and 2001. Joining Fraida will be Susan Novatny, whose Book House in Stuyvesant Plaza (www.bookhouse.indiebound.com) has thrived despite competition from giant competitors. Susan, who also operates Market Block Books in downtown Troy, has succeeded partly by serving as a portal to the industry for self-publishers and aspiring authors.

WHAT: Breakfast roundtable at Professor Java's with an opportunity to learn about successful marketing tactics for small businesses in an intensely competitive marketplace. Coffee and baked goods will be provided.
