Corey Booth Named to ABCA All-Region Team
BROCKPORT, NY (05/24/2012)(readMedia)-- Senior Corey Booth (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) has picked up all-region honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
Booth picks up his first all-region selection as the senior was named to the Third-Team All-New York Region by the ABCA for the second consecutive year. The first baseman started all 43 games on the year and led Brockport with a .369 average. Booth had a team-high 59 hits and 35 runs batted in. The senior had a team-best .985 fielding percentage while leading the SUNYAC with 355 putouts. Booth also was named to the First-Team All-SUNYAC and SUNYAC All-Tournament team.
The Golden Eagles advanced to the SUNYAC Championship game for the fifth consecutive season and finished as runner-ups. Brockport posted a final record of 26-17 and 10-8 in conference play.
