Eliah Golding Named Scholar All-American
The junior is one of two Brockport wrestlers to be named Scholar All-American
BROCKPORT, NY (03/20/2012)(readMedia)-- Junior Eliah Golding (Albany, NY/Colonie) has been named 2011-2012 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III Scholar All-American. Golding was also named to the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) All-Academic Team. The junior physical education major posted a cumulative GPA of 3.68 on the year.
Golding finished the 2011-2012 season with an 18-9 record in the 141 lb. weight class and went 10-5 against Division III opponents. Golding finished second at the Doug Parker Invitational but went on a tear for the final three months of competition. Beginning on Dec. 3, Golding won 12 consecutive matches, including a stretch of four straight wins by result of pin under two minutes between a dual meet against RIT and the John Summa Tournament.
