Emily Dumas Named First-Team All-SUNYAC

BROCKPORT, NY (05/10/2012)(readMedia)-- Sophomore Emily Dumas (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) of The College at Brockport Softball team has been named to the First-Team All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Team.

Dumas was the top offensive producer for the Golden Eagles this season, leading the team with a .383 batting average and 10 home runs. The 10 home runs tied the single season school record. Dumas also led Brockport with 43 RBI, 83 total bases, and a .722 slugging percentage and .475 on base percentage. The sophomore was second in the SUNYAC in home runs and RBI. Dumas was also named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament team after going 5-13 with three doubles in Brockport's four games. Dumas reached base in every single game this season and her streak is currently at 47 straight games. The primary first baseman was named SUNYAC Player of t he week on April 2.
