Farrell Earns SUNYAC Player of the Week
The freshman goalkeeper was named SUNYAC Defensive Player of the Week
BROCKPORT, NY (09/09/2013)(readMedia)-- After a strong showing for the Golden Eagles this weekend, Lindsay Farrell of The College at Brockport women's field hockey team has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Farrell helped Brockport earn its first victory of the season with a 3-2 overtime win over Springfield at the Zenaty Invitational. Farrell made three saves in the close contest.
The following day, Farrell made 11 saves to help The Golden Eagles blank Husson 5-0 in the championship game of the invitational. The shutout was Farrell's first in her college career.
The Golden Eagles return to action at 4:00 pm on Wednesday for a game at Nazareth.
