SANBORN, NY (06/14/2011)(readMedia)-- The many growers of fresh New York State strawberries wish to thank each Dad out there for his many hours of often silent sacrifices that each of you make. The New York State Berry Growers Association thinks an excellent way to say thanks to your special Dad is to travel out to your local farm stand or berry patch and gather up some sweet strawberries to make your special man a strawberry shortcake to top off that special back yard barbeque!
Strawberries are at their very best right now. The warm sunshine and ample rains have helped this crop swell to sweet success. The time is right but unfortunately the strawberry season here in New York State is short. Strawberries are grown all over this great state. If you do not know where to find the closest berry farm to you we have a solution for you. The growers of the New York State Berry Growers have collected all of the information you will need to find the closest operation to your front door. Go to www.nysbga.org and up will pop our web site. Scroll down to find the "FIND A FARM" icon. Click and up will appear the Counties of New York in alphabetical order. Find your County and again click. Now before your eyes will be a listing of the quality berry patch and all of the contact and directions to you will need to venture out for Dad's berries.
