Friends of the Schenectady County Public Library Hold Winter Non-Fiction Book Sale

Over 3,000 titles available

SCHENECTADY, NY (01/02/2013)(readMedia)-- Over 3,000 titles, from text books to travel volumes, biography and cook books will be on sale for $1.00 each, when the Friends of the Schenectady County Public Library holds its annual Winter Non-Fiction Used Book Sale, January 12-14, 2013.

The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sat and Mon and 1 to 5 p.m. Sun. inside the library at 99 Clinton Street.

The Friends of SCPL also operate the Whitney Book Corner, 600 Union Street, which sells quality used books for reasonable prices. Most hardcover books are $2 and paperbacks are $1. Store hours are Mon.-Fri. 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Thurs. till 7, Sat. 10:30 a.m.- 3 p.m., Sun. 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. large print books.

WHAT:

The annual winter non-fiction sale includes over 3,000 used non-fiction books. Most hard cover books are $1.00. Titles include history, cookbooks, travel, business, science, biography and self help.

Proceeds of the book sale will benefit the nine branches of the county library system.

NOTES:

Members of the media are welcome to cover the setup of the event on Friday, Jan. 11th from 1-4 p.m. and Saturday prior to 9:00 am. There will be opportunities to interview members of the Friends and volunteers. Visual opportunities include setting up thousands of books as well as volunteers interacting with the public.
