Monday Noon Programs - Books Sandwiched In

SCHENECTADY, NY (01/19/2016)(readMedia)-- The Friends of Schenectady County Public Library will continue their winter series of Books Sandwiched In programs at the Central library, 99 Clinton Street in Schenectady on February 1 with a review by Madelyn Thorne, Executive Director of Schenectady County Habitat for Humanity of Unfinished Business: Women, Men, Work, Family by Anne Marie Slaughter.

On February 8 – Patrick Clear, Executive Director of ECOS: The Environmental Clearinghouse and chair of the Montgomery County Water Quality Coordinating Committee will review The Optimistic Environmentalist: Progressing Toward a Greener Future, by David R. Boyd.

On February 22 – Marggie Skinner, community relations coordinator, The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza, Albany, will review Between the World and Me, by Ta-Nehisi Coates.

The programs are held in the McChesney Room, beginning at 12:00 pm. All are open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch; beverages are available for a nominal fee.
