GBC Announces Safety Awards

ALBANY, NY (06/21/2007)(readMedia)-- Several New York State general contractors have been presented Certificates of Commendation for Safety Excellence by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). The names of the recipients were announced by the General Building Contractors of New York State (GBC), which is the New York State Building Chapter of the AGC. They include:

Whitney East Incorporated (Rochester)

The Award is based on safety statistics required by OSHA. "Receipt of such an award is proof positive of the emphasis these contractors place on providing a safe and healthful workplace,” said Jeff Zogg, Executive Director of the GBC. "The common denominator of our Membership is that they possess skill, integrity, and responsibility. A commitment to safety is a strong sign of these qualities."
