Geneva College to host open house for Mountain State University students and the community
College representatives will be at the Center Twp. Holiday Inn Express on Thursday, August 2.
BEAVER FALLS, PA (07/27/2012)(readMedia)-- Geneva College is hosting an open house for anyone who would like to explore Geneva's academic programs. In addition, free counseling about transferable credits, financial aid and military benefits will be provided.
Following pending loss of accreditation, Mountain State University has announced that it will not admit students for the fall semester and is encouraging students to transfer to other institutions. The university, which is based in Beckley, West Virginia, enrolled adult students at multiple locations in western Pennsylvania.
"We know that there are adult students who have been enrolled at MSU or who have been planning to enroll, and now they need to change directions," said Geneva College Provost Dr. Ken Carson. "Geneva has undergraduate and graduate degree programs that are designed for adult students."
The open house will be held at the Holiday Inn Express at 105 Stone Quarry Road in Center Township on Thursday, August 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The open house is free and no registration is required.
Geneva College offers its Adult Degree Completion Program at 11 locations throughout western Pennsylvania to help adults complete their bachelor's degree in as little as 17 months. Geneva also offers seven graduate programs, with six held at the Beaver Falls campus, and the Organizational Leadership program offered at various sites throughout the region.
