Gildemeyer Named NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Region
Katie Gildemeyer caps off senior season with NSCAA/Continental Tire All-East Region Selection
BROCKPORT, NY (12/04/2013)(readMedia)-- Senior Katie Gildemeyer (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) of The College at Brockport women's soccer team has been named the National Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III All-East Region second-team. Gildemeyer was one of five members from the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) chosen to the first two all-region teams.
Gildemeyer was second on the team in scoring with six goals and ranked third on the team with 14 total points. She also tallied three game-winning-goals throughout the season.
During the season, Gildemeyer was named SUNYAC Player of the Week on two separate occasions. She was also named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament team for her strong play during the post season. Gildemeyer led the Golden Eagles on the All-SUNYAC team with a first-team selection.
Brockport finished the year with a 12-5-1 overall record, including a 5-3-1 record in SUNYAC play.
