WHITTIER, CA (06/03/2009)(readMedia)-- Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) has announced that legendary hockey player Luc Robitaille will be featured as a keynote speaker for the second annual Extravaganza Complementary and Alternative Health Fair on Sunday June 28 at noon on the university's campus in Whittier, CA.

Robitaille played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 19 seasons with the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, and Detroit Red Wings where he won a Stanley Cup. Throughout his distinguished career, he was named to eight All-Star teams, set records for both goals and points by a left winger, and holds numerous Los Angeles Kings' franchise records.

Robitaille was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and currently resides in the Los Angeles area. Recently, he and his wife, Stacia co-founded Echoes of Hope, a charity that strives to address the needs of at-risk youth and to identify young people with the drive and ability to succeed, whose only obstacle is the lack of the tools and support to create brighter futures for themselves, and to give them the opportunities they deserve. Since its inception, Echoes of Hope has assisted young people across the country - from Katrina survivors to struggling youth in Southern California.
