Internship Prepares Spelman College Junior for Teaching Career

ATLANTA, GA (07/11/2012)(readMedia)-- Elizabeth Sullivan, C'2014, may be one step closer to fulfilling her dream of becoming a teacher. This summer, the child development major is interning with NBAF, presenters of the National Black Arts Festival, as part of the organization's Education and Public Relations program.

Working closely with director Collette Hopkins, Ph.D., the Woodstock, Ga. Native is busy organizing events that will take place at the Children's Education Village. She is currently working to create challenging questions for the African-American History Quiz Bowl. The challenge brings teams of young people together from public and private schools to showcase their knowledge of African-American history and culture.
