Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation Releases FAIROPOLY Board Game

Fair-inspired property trading game returns for the 2026 Iowa State Fair

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation is bringing Fair fun to game night with the release of Iowa State FAIROPOLY, a family-friendly board game that transforms favorite Iowa State Fair traditions into a property trading experience.

Players circle the board, discover beloved vendors, explore new favorites and build their own Fair empire. Each turn brings surprises, from advancing to JR's SouthPork Ranch and winning the mullet competition to losing a turn after a stop at Lost & Found. The game also features Iowa State Fair trivia throughout play.

Originally produced in 2004 in celebration of the Iowa State Fair's 150th anniversary, FAIROPOLY has been updated in recognition of the United States' 250th anniversary.

FAIROPOLY will be available for purchase during the 2026 Iowa State Fair from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following merchandise booths:

* Robert G. Horner and Sheri Avis Horner Service Center

* William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building

* John Deere Agriculture Building

* John & Emily Putney Family Cattle Barn

* Richard L. Easter Museum Complex

* Elwell Family Food Center

The game will be available through the Blue Ribbon Foundation at www.BlueRibbonFoundation.org once the Iowa State Fair ends.

Proceeds from FAIROPOLY sales support the Blue Ribbon Foundation's mission to preserve and improve the historic Iowa State Fairgrounds for future generations.
