Jared Greenbaum of Woodbridge Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (07/21/2011)(readMedia)-- Jared Greenbaum, a member of the Class of 2011 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.

He is the son of Paul Greenbaum and Deborah Schaefer Greenbaum of Woodbridge.

Greenbaum received a B.S. degree cum laude with honor in self-determined major at Skidmore's 100th commencement.

In addition, he received an academic award, the Margaret Ellen Clifford Memorial Prize in Theater, established in honor of a former professor an presented annually to an outstanding junior or senior theater major.

Greenbaum also was one of four students to receive a grant from the Jeffrey and Cynthia Treuhaft Fund for Art Technology during his Skidmore career. Treuhaft funds provide technology in support of student opportunities to work with faculty in new and innovative ways in any art form or medium.

He earned high honors for academic work completed during the spring semester.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
