CLEARWATER, FL (04/16/2013)(readMedia)-- Westwood Christian School senior Liz Jenkins signed a letter of intent to attend Clearwater Christian College and to play both volleyball and basketball for the Lady Cougars at a ceremony held on campus in Clearwater, FL, on Friday, April 12. While at Westwood Christian, Jenkins led her basketball team to the 2013 District Title and Regional Finals. During the season, Liz led her team with 15.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game. In addition, she was named to the Miami-Dade County Private School All-Star Team. Jenkins is the daughter of John and Teresa Jenkins of Miami and she plans to study Criminal Justice at Clearwater Christian College.
In his comments regarding Liz, CCC Coach Anthony Wilson said "Liz is just a winner. If you look at her stature, it's tough to believe that she put up the numbers that she did, but she just got the job done. As a coach's daughter, she comes into our program with a high basketball IQ. In talking with Liz and her father, I am excited to see how God will use Liz's passion for Christ to impact her teammates and others while she is at CCC."
