CLIFTON PARK, NY (09/29/2010)(readMedia)-- Judi Clements, President of Judi Clements Training & Development, has been selected by NYSID (New York State Industries for Disabled) to present a variety of management development programs for member agencies throughout New York State. NYSID is a not-for-profit member agency organization that works to meet the purchasing needs of state and local government agencies while advancing employment for New Yorkers with disabilities. NYSID acts as a "virtual storefront" for a statewide network of 155 community rehabilitation agencies and private sector business partners to employ skilled people with disabilities in both facility-based settings and community-based jobs.

Nine Different Programs

Clements will provide nine management training sessions throughout NYS on such topics as conflict management, civility in the workplace, communication, and personality typing. All Clements' programs are geared for new and experienced supervisors and managers. Clements customizes each program to meet the specific needs of the NYSID member agencies.

According to Clements, "These supervisors are faced with the difficult task of doing more with less. I work with them to develop the management tools they need to motivate employees to do their best. I keep the programs highly interactive, using a variety case studies, role plays, and team activities."

Six Years with NYSID

This is the sixth year that Clements has been selected by NYSID to provide management training services. These programs will take place in Albany, Rochester, and New York City. Each class will consist of about thirty managers from many different NYSID member agencies. Participants enjoy meeting and networking with colleagues from similar work settings. According to Clements, "The participants learn just as much from one another as they do from my programs."
