CLIFTON PARK, NY (07/19/2010)(readMedia)-- Judi Clements Training & Development introduced its new "Civility in the Workplace" training program at a recent meeting of the NENY Employee Assistance Professionals Association in Albany, NY.

The Need for Interpersonal Skills

This Association of Employee Assistance Professionals was treated to a "sneak-preview" of Clements' new staff and management training based on building respect and rapport in the workplace. According to Clements: "Today's employees often have sophisticated technical skills at the expense of practical interpersonal skills. In this program, I help them see which kinds of behavior help or hurt workplace productivity. Often lack of civility is really lack of awareness. Once people are made aware of how their behavior impacts others, they are willing to make changes that promote workplace harmony."

Program Suggestions

Clements invited members of EAPA to offer suggestions and feedback on this new program. Overwhelmingly, members of the group endorsed the need for such a program and the approach Clements took in presenting the topic.
