CLIFTON PARK, NY (03/16/2009)(readMedia)-- Judi Clements Training & Development has launched a new training program to address employee motivation in a down economy.

According to Clements, "Managers are struggling with disaffected employees who are de-motivated by downsizing, budget cuts, and shrinking salaries. They are looking for ways to break bad news to staff in the least painless way possible."

Clements' workshop, "Communicating to Staff in a Down Economy," addresses this issue head on. In this program, she shows managers how to have those difficult conversations and establish trust and honesty with staff, even when business conditions force difficult choices.

According to Clements, "My goal is to discourage closed-door meetings and back-room gossip that will only add to worker anxiety. By developing an up-front communication style, managers can help employees deal better with harsh realities."

Clements has been selected by the Capital Region Human Resource Association (www.crhra.org) to present this program at their 2009 Annual Conference entitled "Sustainable Human Resources: Supporting Our Organizations and Our World" on Thursday March 19th at the Holiday Inn on Wolf Road.

As president of Clifton-Park based Judi Clements Training & Development, Clements delivers corporate training and keynote speeches in the areas of supervision, communication, wellness, & customer service. Her programs are known for their interactivity; trainees stay engaged through discussion, case studies, simulations, & role plays. She can be reached at 518-371-9184 http//www.judiclements.com
