Liberty Ridge Farm Market to Open Saturday July 10

Season Starts with Pick-Your-Own Blueberries and Fresh Local Produce

SCHAGHTICOKE, NY (06/29/2010)(readMedia)-- The Liberty Ridge Farm Market will open on Saturday, July 10th with the beginning of the 'pick-your-own' blueberry season, offering fresh produce throughout the summer and fall harvest season. Featuring seasonal 'pick-your-own' blueberries, raspberries and pumpkins, the Liberty Ridge Farm Market offers a bounty of the freshest local produce from the area's best farms, as well as a selection of natural decoration items.

Families can bring their own containers or use one of the farms's to 'pick-your-own' fresh grown blueberries by the pound, or buy fresh picked at the Farm Market counter. In August fresh raspberries will be ready for picking, and in the fall Liberty Ridge Farm offers 'pick-your-own' pumpkins with selections from its 14 acres of pumpkin vines.

The Liberty Ridge Farm Market will be open Monday - Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday and Sundays 9AM to 5 PM. In addition to fresh produce the Market offers a selection of natural decorations items such as colorful mums, squash, gourds, Indian corn, cornstalks, pumpkins and hay bales. Liberty Ridge Farm is the New-York State award-winning agri-tourism destination located just three miles from the Schaghticoke Fair, ½ hour from most anywhere in the Capital District.

Liberty Ridge Farm is home of the Capital Region's original and largest corn maze. Celebrating its 11th season of family fun and farm adventure, the 2010 corn maze features the Gifford Barn, promoting the farm family values of working together, communication, and persistence.

The Liberty Ridge Farm Fall Festival season begins September 18 and runs through November 11th. Admission to Liberty Ridge Farm, all the mazes and farm activities is only $9.50, Children under 2 free.
