Springtime for some mean blueberries and delicious blueberry treats, but for some Capital Region residents it means opportunity. Liberty Ridge Farm is busy getting ready for another blueberry picking season and with that comes new opportunities for local jobs. Liberty Ridge Farm has been a staple in the community for 15 seasons offering fun and employment throughout the year. The farm has immediate Summer part-time employment available for Blueberry Pickers.

Liberty Ridge Farm encourages anyone who might be interested in employment to apply online or download the pdf. application and bring it to the farm. Interested people can go to www.libertyridgefarmny.com/application to apply online. Liberty Ridge Farm is located 3 miles east of the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds off of Stillwater Bridge Road. Summer employment positions begin around July 12th , the farm picks everyday 7am-12pm - Any Day of the Week.

The Liberty Ridge Farm Market expanded in 2012 to supply an increase in demand for their delectable blueberries and goods. Liberty Ridge Farm Market is open daily starting in early July for Pick-your-own blueberries. Families can bring their own containers or use one of the farm's to 'pick-your-own' fresh grown blueberries by the pound, or berries can be purchased freshly picked at the Farm Market counter.

The Liberty Ridge Farm Market promotes sustainability and community through the commitment to local food and agriculture. Local fresh berries will be available through the end of the growing season with blueberry picking beginning mid- July and running to mid-August. Raspberry season to be announced, typically starts in August and goes until the first frost. Liberty Ridge Farm plans to update their Farm Market page on the website with season information about hours and availability of berries, the Farm suggests checking the page frequently during the July- August season

Liberty Ridge Farm is the Northeast's premier agri-tourism destination and home of the Largest Haunted attraction in the Capital Region. Now in their 16th Season offering entertainment for all ages,. The farm has expanded to offer a variety of events, and vintage fall family fun with a down to earth rustic charm. The farm's fall festival offers over 20 hands on activities, 2 cornfield mazes, pumpkin picking, daily shows, apple cider donuts and an amazing jumping pillow. The Harvest Haunted attraction opens and runs through October, open every weekend night in in October. The farm is also used as a venue for fund-raising, corporate events, social gatherings, company picnics, school educational field trips, wedding receptions and more. Beginning September 19th the farm is open to the public with their fall season running until Novemeber 11th.
