SCHAGHTICOKE, NY (08/01/2011)(readMedia)-- Space Farm 7 is a collection of Seven Farms Across the U.S. That will Invite the public to Get Lost in Space this Fall in an out of this world display of corn maze creations. In a special outreach titled Space Farm 7, Liberty Ridge Farm is among 7 of the nation's top agritourism farms that are joining together in collaboration with NASA to celebrate and honor the U.S. space program this fall. Each farm has planted corn mazes, an increasingly popular phenomenon of elaborate crop circle-type creations that challenge and delight visitors. The Space Farm 7 corn mazes will feature designs celebrating NASA's achievements and progress in space.

The objective of this outreach project is to expose guests to NASA space exploration and educate children across the United States. This year NASA celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first American in space, the 30th anniversary of the first Space Shuttle mission and the 20th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope's deployment in space. NASA recently completed construction of the International Space Station and will conclude the Space Shuttle Program now that the final shuttle launch and return was successful. The Space Farm 7 outreach is a timely once in a lifetime coordinated celebration.

NASA has ten regional research centers located in the United States, each of which has a different responsibility. The individual members of the Space Farm 7 have been paired up with their local space center in order to highlight that region's contribution to NASA. Liberty Ridge Farm in New York will feature achievements of the NASA Hubble Space Telescope Program and is paired up with Goddard Space Flight Center out of Maryland.

Liberty Ridge Farm and the Space Farm 7 will have games and activities in the mazes will reinforce the educational missions of the Space Program so maze-goers can learn and have fun at the same time. This year a very special celebration is taking place at Liberty Ridge with the Hubble Space Telescope Adventure Corn Maze. The corn maze features the Hubble Telescope and the Space Shuttle flying amongst cosmic stars. The 2011 season has something for families with little ones or families with kids that are grown up, getting lost amongst the stars together is a once in a lifetime Liberty Ridge & NASA experience.

Liberty Ridge Farm is the northeast representative for the Space Farm 7, pairing up with Goddard Space Flight Center to coordinate their leg of the program. Liberty Ridge Farm has entertained families for 12 Seasons, coming up with new and exciting corn maze designs that delight hearts and minds. The 2011 Corn maze will highlight achievements made during the 20 year NASA Hubble Space Telescope program, proudly bearing the name of "The Hubble Space Telescope Adventure Corn Maze."
