SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/28/2012)(readMedia)-- Jacob Mazur-Warren, a member of the Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.
He is the son of Robert Warren and Sally Mazur of Newton.
Mazur-Warren received the Krawiec Psychology Prize, named in honor of a former professor and awarded to a psychology major at the end of the junior year who has achieved excellence in work in the field. In addition, he was elected to membership in Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology.
During his Skidmore career, Mazur-Warren also has been elected to the Skidmore Periclean Honors Forum, which recognizes academic achievement and promotes intellectual and creative activity as well as citizenship and civic engagement.
He earned honors for academic work completed during the spring 2012 semester.
Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
