SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (07/01/2013)(readMedia)-- Kayla Flaherty-Dawson, a member of the Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.
She is the daughter of Patricia and Thomas Flaherty-Dawson of Westford.
Flaherty-Dawson earned a B.S. degree magna cum laude at Skidmore's 102nd commencement in May. She also received the Hilda Bashevkin Betten '39 and Morris H. Betten Award in Social Work, awarded to a graduating senior who has shown outstanding interest and achievement in the study of social work at Skidmore.
Flaherty-Dawson earned honors for academic work completed during the spring 2013 semester.
Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
