NYC May Day 2015. We demand an end to record-breaking levels of economic and social inequality, illustrated by recent Fight for $15, Black Lives Matter, and immigration rights protests around the country.
WHO: The Coalition for Real Jobs, Real Wages, and Real Rights, a coalition of labor union, low-wage workers, community, and workers advocacy groups, uniting for May Day evening of action for workers' rights, immigrants' rights, and the need for the real jobs and wages needed to close the income inequality gap. Coalition for Real Jobs, Real Wages, and Real Rights May Day evening of action including low-wage workers from Walmart, the car wash, fast food, home care, airport, and nursing industries.
Walmart workers will stand with bus operators, taxi drivers, horse carriage drivers, construction workers, nurses, and public employees will gather in front of billionaire Walmart owner Alice Walton's Park Avenue and 60th St. home, and then march to Columbus Circle for an evening rally at 58th between 8th and 9th Aves.

WHERE & WHEN: 4:45pm: Demo at the home of Alice Walton (60th St. and Park), participants will deliver 8ft tall plungers to Walton's home, referencing the firing of more than 2,000 California Walmart workers fired because their store had "plumbing issues." Workers had been fighting to organize.
