Milliken Earns SUNYAC Weekly Honors
Ann Milliken was named the SUNYAC Field Athlete of the Week
BROCKPORT, NY (01/21/2014)(readMedia)-- Freshman thrower Ann Milliken (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) was chosen as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Female Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Jan. 19.
Milliken was a double-winner on Saturday at St. Lawrence for the Saints Indoor Invitational, helping Brockport finish in third place.
Milliken started off the day with a win in shot put. She finished with a throw of 11.63 meters which qualifies her for the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.
Later in the day, Milliken won the weight throw with a recorded distance of 15.14 meters, which was also an ECAC qualifier.
For her performance, Milliken was also named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday at 10 am at the Hamilton Continental Invitational.
