Minnesota State Fair's "2016 Best Awards"

ST. PAUL, MINN. (09/01/2016)(readMedia)-- Minnesota State Fair presented awards to the very best of the State Fair's 1,200 commercial exhibits, concessions, attractions and food vendors in the Great Minnesota Get-Together's 2016 Best Awards. In a ceremony held at 10 a.m. today on the International Bazaar Stage, State Fair General Manager Jerry Hammer presented the following awards:

Best Product or Service: Doghouses & Playhouses built by Hoffman Weber Construction (located on the southwest corner of Randall Avenue and Cooper Street)

Best Food or Beverage: The Preferred Pickle (located on the southwest corner of West Dan Patch Avenue and Liggett Street)

Best Attraction: Boy Scouts of America (located on the north side of Randall Avenue between Cooper and Cosgrove streets, south of The North Woods)

Best Value: Patinella's Chicken Grill (located east of Chambers Street just south of the Grandstand)

Best Customer Service: HomeTown Mobility (rents wheelchairs, electric mobility scooters, wagons and strollers at five locations on the fairgrounds)

Best Midway Ride: New York New York Fun House (Fair Ride Entertainment)

Best Midway Game: Fish-A-Rama (Oren Concessions)

Best Kidway Ride: Safari Train (Michael Wood, owner)

State Fair building superintendents and other State Fair organizers nominated exhibitors, vendors and concessionaires for the "2016 Best Awards." A committee then reviewed nominations and selected winners in the eight categories.
