ALBANY, NY (09/15/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association (NYCRAMA) is excited to announce its 15th Anniversary Mark of Excellence Celebration, including special guest speaker Niels Schuurmans of Spike TV. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 7th, 2009 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Albany Marriott on Wolf Road. This year's format breaks tradition with a networking mixer and an entertaining presentation from Schuurmans.

The featured guest speaker, Niels Schuurmans, is the Senior Vice President and Executive Creative Director for Spike TV. Schuurmans has been recognized globally for his expertise in marketing. He has won numerous awards for outstanding marketing, including being named one of Electronic Media's Top Ten Marketers in the Entertainment Industry. Schuurmans has been part of the MTV Networks since 1990 and, prior to joining Spike TV, worked with Nickelodeon and The Cartoon Network.

In a break with tradition to celebrate its 15th anniversary, this year's Mark of Excellence event will recognize all members and attendees as marketers of excellence. The mixer will include specialty cocktails and an exquisite tapas menu designed specifically for the event. The event will take a retrospective look at the transformation of results-driven marketing over the past 15 years, as well as highlight the technological advances that will spur marketing success in the future.

The last chance to register for the 15th Annual Mark of Excellence Celebration at the price of $55 per person and $260 per group of five people is Friday, September 25, 2009. After September 25, the price will be $60 per person and $285 per group of five people.
