ROCHESTER, NY (12/08/2009)(readMedia)-- If you are interested in exploring the literature of the Bible and Qur'an, the current political climate in the Middle East, or looking to discover your own spiritual roots, join Nazareth College in Walking in the Footsteps of the Prophets, an interfaith journey to the Holy Land in May 2010. An information session about the trip will be held on Sunday, December 13 from 3:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. in the Golisano Academic Center, first floor, Center for Spirituality Community Room (room 151) on the Nazareth College campus. Muhammad Shafiq, Ph.D, Susan Nowak, Ph.D, S.S.J., and George Eisen, Ph.D, three Nazareth College faculty members, will lead the trip. Together, with experts from several of the Middle East's most prestigious institutions of higher learning, they will lead you through several sites held sacred by the three Abrahamic faiths. Travelers will be able to wander the streets of Jerusalem, gaze across the Sea of Galilee's storied waters, visit majestic Istanbul on the Bosphorus Strait, and more. At each stop, lectures by tour leaders and guest speakers will reveal the knowledge and historic significance of the region.
