Nicole Jones Named SUNYAC Field Athlete of the Week
BROCKPORT, NY (04/24/2012)(readMedia)-- Junior Nicole Jones (West Charlton, NY/Galway) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Female Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 22. Jones was also named Field Athlete of the Week in the indoor season as well.
Competing at the Cortland Classic, Jones posted a first place finish in the shot put event with a career best distance of 13.00 meters. The distance ranks first in the SUNYAC and is also 22nd nationally. Jones also finished second in the hammer throw with a career best distance of 47.94 meters.
