PEF, labor organizations to host job fair

ROCHESTER, NY (10/17/2024) (readMedia)-- Several labor organizations are coming together from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 19 to host the Rochester Labor Community Job Fair and a school supply/backpack giveaway for jobseekers and families.

WHO:

The Public Employees Federation, the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, the Federation of Social Workers, AFCSME Council 66, the Rochester and Genesee Valley Area Labor Federation, the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, and the Rochester Building & Construction Trades Council.

Labor community will host a job fair and school supply/backpack giveaway.

There will be no formal press conference, but several labor leaders will be available for interviews, including Leisa Abraham, NYS Public Employees Federation; Kendall Bell, IUE-CEW, Coalition of Black Trade Unionists; Sharifa Prior, Federation of Social Workers; and Dan Maloney, President of the Rochester Labor Council.
